Everything we see is a lesson in design.

Welcome to Pupil Creative, the online home of creative consultant Tom Devonald.

Tom is an award-winning author, illustrator and graphic designer who consults for businesses of all shapes and sizes around the world.

He hates writing about himself in the third person so he will now switch seamlessly into first person singular...

I originally trained on the job as a writer for traditional advertising, but with a passion for design and illustration and a love of learning new skills, I am now a ‘one-stop-shop’, capable of creating engaging branding, advertising, content and marketing strategy for your business.

I am proud to have worked with some of the biggest B2B brands in the world, particularly in the cutting-edge medical and scientific sectors, as well as having designed and developed highly successful B2C and best-selling FMCG brands.

Each year I do a few free projects for ethical and community organisations like the Zion Arts Centre & Mancunian Way in Manchester and #freethenipple in the US. If you have a project that aims to make the world a better place and you need branding that will get you some attention; feel free to get in touch and I may be able to help you.

Whether you're a small start-up looking for the right way to position yourself for success, or an established brand in need of fresh ideas, I look forward to helping you with whatever creative problem needs solving!

If you'd like to discuss a new project please email me at tom.devonald@hotmail.co.uk
